Lorena Cordero AW2025

Inside Lies and Secrets

In the majestic setting of the Shangri-La Paris, beneath the gilded splendor of a theatrically styled salon, Ecuadorian designer Lorena Cordero unveiled her latest couture collection, Lies and Secrets on March 9, 2025, during a show orchestrated by Fashion Week Studio.
This collection unfolds like a living painting, etched onto the skin in passionate red and deep black — two signature hues of a universe where gothic elegance meets sensual drama.

Lies and Secrets is more than just a title. It’s a silent scream, a visceral exploration of the unspoken, of buried truths and invisible scars we all carry.
“This collection was born from my personal experiences, and those of the people close to me,” says the designer, who is also a trained photographer.
And it shows. Each silhouette feels like a cinematic still, a suspended moment, a story frozen in movement. For Lorena Cordero, the body is a canvas, a medium for expressing the most complex emotions.

Contrast reigns supreme: black, like whispered secrets, meets red, the pulse of open wounds and raw desire. The silhouettes are almost architectural, shaped with precision, while accessories become symbolic talismans, like the coral-inspired red necklaces, glowing like fragments of a dream.
Every detail, from intricate lacework to sculpted masks, from luxurious fabrics to hand-crafted bags, reflects meticulous craftsmanship and meaningful design. It is an artisanal masterpiece, born from the hand and the heart.

The show itself bordered on performance art: a choreographed spectacle, where models moved like apparitions to an entrancing soundtrack. A dramatic mise-en-scène that resonated deeply with the soul of the collection. You leave the room as if leaving a confession, moved, haunted, enthralled …

With Lies and Secrets, Lorena Cordero confirms her status as a leading voice in contemporary fashion, merging art, emotion, and couture in a seamless narrative. This is a red and black masterpiece, where clothing becomes language, and haute couture, a profound act of truth.
